To
Mr. Timothy P. Shriver, Ph.D.
Chairman and CEO
Special Olympics
We are greatly saddened to learn of the passing of Mr. Robert Sargent SHRIVER, Jr. With the death of this great man, the peace-building community and the Special Olympics Movement have lost a faithful advocate, and a man of great generosity of spirit, who devoted his life to the service of humanity, both at the national and the global levels.
We will remember your father as the curator of the Peace Corps and the designer of the War on Poverty, and most of all, as the man who contributed, with the Late Eunice Kennedy SHRIVER, to promote the rights and dignity of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
On the occasion of this tragic loss, I am sending the bereaved SHIRVER family my deepest sympathy, and the Late Mr. Robert Sargent SHIRVER, Jr., my prayers of peace.
Her Royal Highness Princess LALLA AMINA
Chair of Special Olympics Morocco
